Terry was born in Singapore and spent his early years here before his family moved to the United States for his father’s studies. They returned to Singapore after two years and later migrated to Perth, Western Australia when he was 12.
It was when he moved to the UK in 1987 as a young man that Terry became immersed in the world of food and wine. In 2003, he started the Plan B! Wine business in Western Australia and he has been making wines since.
It was always Terry’s desire to make super premium wines. This was realised in 2020 when he launched THE NEXT HUNDRED YEARS range with Riesling and Syrah from Western Australia’s Frankland River. These are available at VITIS Wine Bar and Bistro.
Terry lives in Margaret River in Western Australia’s southwest region with his wife Amanda. Theirs is a proudly family-owned wine adventure.
Meng Teck (MT) is a Malaysia-born (Singapore PR) engineer by training but his love for wine led him to discover his true calling of becoming a winemaker.
Leaving the corporate world behind to pursue his dream, MT started afresh, earning various diplomas and certificates in New Zealand and the United States. He worked vintages around the world, including in New Zealand and Portugal, but it was in France where MT found kindred spirits in the family of Domaine Saladin.
The Saladins generously shared some of their organic grapes, allowing MT to make a small batch of wines in 2016.
Thus was cuvée "Inflorescence by MT" born - the first commercial release made by Meng Teck under the Saladin label. This was made with Asian cuisine in mind as MT wanted a wine that is light and floral but also structured without being overly tannic to pair with most Cantonese and Teochew dishes.
